Convergesouth Call for Proposals

We are seeking proposals in these broad categories:

FRIDAY AND SATURDAY PANELS

Friday's session includes three panel discussions and Saturday includes two panel discussions.

Nominate yourself as a panelist for Friday or Saturday's ConvergeSouth sessions. Panels are intended to be similar to intimate discussions with give-and-take and are therefore limited in size to no more than three members.

A moderator will be assigned to each panel.

FRIDAY WORKSHOPS

After lunch on Friday, October 19 , we plan on breaking up the conference into 10 to 15 individual workshops, all relating on one level or another to the theme of the day, “The Fifth Estate.”

There's a lot of room to work with in this general framework. Be creative.

Each workshop will be moderated by one person with another taking notes. At the end of an hour and a half, we'll all reconvene and the two team leaders will share short presentations of their discussion.

You can choose to lead the topic that you suggest below or leave it open. It's completely up to you.

friday DEMOs

Friday afternoon DEMO sessions are a new-for-2007 ConvergeSouth feature. We want to showcase technology and ideas that promote CREATIVITY ONLINE FOR EVERYONE.

Do you have a new product? A new concept? ConvergeSouth DEMOs are the place for you to showcase yourself, your ideas, your company and your products. Take advantage of the FREE DEMO space (this year only).

Take minute and request some space at ConvergeSouth 2007's DEMOs and enjoy the concurrent wine and cheese reception - we're sure to have a lot of people enjoying the reception and your DEMO!

SATURDAY HOWTO SESSIONS

Saturday will shift into “The Making of The Fifth Estate” and we will shift accordingly by presenting two tracks of HOWTO sessions -- basic and advanced approaches to creating and publishing online.

The HOWTOs can be as tactical as the 101 of podcasting to as strategic as how to build community, traffic and trust through blogging. It's up to you to decide what skills/approaches you'd like to share.

So don't be shy, show what you know. ConvergeSouth Web newcomers can always use some explicit pointers and the advanced crowd...well, you never know who might be in the audience!
